Filming | August 2026 Open Casting Call: Le Rendez-Vous, an Independent Canadian Short Film
Interested in Joining Le Rendez-Vous?
Thank you for your interest in Le Rendez-Vous, an independent Canadian short film currently in pre-production. We welcome submissions from both emerging and experienced performers who connect with the story and characters. Our goal is to create a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive environment where artists can do their best work while contributing to a meaningful cinematic experience.
Because we recognize that some cast members may be travelling from outside the North Bay area, we want to be as transparent as possible about our production plans. Principal photography is tentatively scheduled to take place during one of the following weeks:
Option 1: August 24–28, 2026
Option 2: September 21–25, 2026
Filming is expected to occur over a 5-day shoot schedule, with production activities taking place throughout the week. Final dates, call times, and shooting schedules will be confirmed once casting, locations, and production logistics have been finalized.
To help make participation as accessible as possible, cast members selected for the production can expect the following support during the filming period:
Accommodation arrangements during principal photography
Daily meals and refreshments on set
Transportation support and reimbursement, where applicable
Our Casting Process
Following an initial review of submissions, selected candidates may be invited to participate in a virtual callback audition and/or an informal conversation with members of the creative team. This allows us to learn more about each performer, discuss the role in greater detail, and ensure that everyone has an opportunity to ask questions about the project and production process.
We would love to review your submission and encourage you to apply if you feel connected to this story. If you have any questions regarding character breakdowns, scheduling, travel considerations, or the audition process, please don't hesitate to reach out. We look forward to getting to know you and discovering the talented individuals who will help bring Le Rendez-Vous to life.
